Lois Bolen

Gastonia, NC Lois Bolen, age 53, passed away April 14, 2013, at CaroMont Regional Med. Ctr., Gastonia. She was born August 17, 1959 in Germany, daughter of Margaret Eleanora Smith Malcom and the late Roy Iran Thomas. Mrs. Bolen loved all kinds of sports, racing, football and watching the "Soaps". She was of the Baptist faith. Services are private. In addition to her mother she is survived by: her loving husband of almost 20 years, George Bolen of the home; step-children, Rhonda, Preston, Ladawn, Phillip, Justin and Ashley; sisters, June Meeks, Rhonda Grainger, Janet Hudson, Teresa Thomas; devoted companion, her dog, Dale. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by: grandmothers, Bessie Smith and Lena Blalock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lois Bolen, Memorial Fund, C/O George Bolen, 261 Salemview Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
