Lloyd Wiggins, 83, of Bessemer City, passed away December 17, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born November 10, 1929 in Gaston County, son of the late C.C. Wiggins and Inez Crisp Wiggins. Mr. Wiggins was a member of Second Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.He was awarded Father of the Year at Sunset Lane Baptist Church in 1987. He was a native of Gaston County, and was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict. Lloyd was retired from Howe Distributing Company where he was a sales person with over 44 years of service. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Second Baptist Church, Kings Mountain officiated by Rev. James Lockridge. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service , West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, with military honors. Mr. Wiggins is survived by; daughters, Pam Lee, Debra Black and husband Ken; brothers Billy Wiggins; Pete Wiggins and wife Beth, Bill Wiggins and wife Nancy; sisters, Dot Phifer, Frances Wiggins and Anne Wiggins; Special companion, Pat Chapman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife, Jean White Wiggins; daughter, Sharmie Wiggins Biggerstaff; sisters, Mary Wiggins and Margaret Wiggins; brothers, Ed Wiggins and Jim Wiggins.
