It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd "Alan" Flemings, who left this world on May 30, 2023, at the age of 36.
He was born on September 1, 1986, a native of Gaston Co, NC.
Alan was a bright light in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, especially Kenlie Boughhman who loved him like a father.
He is survived by his dearly loved mother, Donna Griffin; father, Ronnie Flemings; brothers, Jacob Flemings, Corey Flemings and Miranda, Chase Griffin, and Aaron Griffin; grandmother, Katherine Hamrick; grandparents, Lloyd and Mary Williams; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish their bond and shared memories.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Griffin; and his grandfather, Ken Hamrick.
Alan's witty, fun, and free-spirited personality endeared him to all who crossed his path. He had an innate ability to connect with others and had a natural gift for making everyone feel welcome. It was often said that he never met a stranger, as his warmth and humor made it easy for people to become instant friends. He loved fishing and living life to the fullest.
Throughout his life, Alan shared valuable lessons with those around him that are sure to live on through the memories of his loved ones. One of his favorite mantras was to live life and not be too serious, a principle that he embodied every day. His approach to life was inspiring, and his impact on others will remain in their hearts.
While we mourn the loss of Alan Flemings, it is essential to celebrate his vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and the countless memorable moments that his life created. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
