Lloyd Allen Carver, also known as the guy who could fix anything and loved his ribs, passed away on September 17, 2024, in Gastonia, NC, at the age of 80. Born in Homer, Michigan on May 20, 1944, Lloyd spent his life as an aircraft mechanic in the airline industry, all while building two homes and lovingly crafting wood in his spare time.
He adored fishing, traveling with his beloved wife Rose Mary, and their favorite pastime was going out to enjoy some mouthwatering ribs in Hendersonville.
Left to cherish Lloyd's memories are his wife, Rose Mary Carver, of 54 years; sisters, Dorothy Green and Evelyn Murph; nephew, Eddie Green (Juvie); niece, Sandy Sinclair (Robert); great nephew, Gregory Sinclair; great great nephew, Rush Sinclair.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Olive Carver; brother, Donald Carver; brother in law, Melvin Green.
A celebration of his life will be held at Myers Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 S New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28054, on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The visitation will start at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Sally Queen and Rev. Sam Barnette.
