Lloyd Edward Barrett

Lloyd Edward Barrett, 76, of Gastonia, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Carolina Caring in Newton.

A native of Gaston County, born on January 25, 1945, Lloyd was the son of the late Aubrey and Belle Johnson Barrett.

Lloyd was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed classic and sports cars. Lloyd also loved traveling to the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish Lloyd's memories are his sons, Lloyd Barrett, Jr. (Joni), and Jason Barrett; sister, Mildred Barrett; four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park, with military honors.

The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service at the cemetery.
