Lindy Tidwell

Lindy Tidwell, 94, of Belmont, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his residence.

He was born July 12, 1928, in Rutherford County, North Carolina, to the late Cleveland and Lula Tidwell.

Lindy was a member of Mountain Rest Baptist Church in Mountain Rest, South Carolina, where he was a former Deacon and Trustee.  Former member of the New Hope Optimist Club. He loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Lindy is survived by his wife of 74 years, Marilyn Ledford Tidwell; son, Ronnie Tidwell, and wife Robin Walker; one granddaughter, Casey Walkowiak, and husband Robert; two great-grandchildren, Briana Hannon, Haven Walkowiak.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Joe Lawing will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 5008 South New Hope Road Belmont, NC 28012.

The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematory is service the Tidwell family.
