Linda Sue Young

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Linda Robinson Young, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on March 31, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on September 15, 1944, in Gastonia, NC, Linda made her home in Kings Mountain, where she filled her days with laughter, love, and a flair for the fabulous.

Linda was a proud owner of a consignment shop in Gastonia and filled it with antiques and things that she loved. Aside from her professional life, she was a storyteller at heart. Her knack for crafting joyful tales and sharing good jokes brought smiles to those around her. She loved road trips and she found adventure in every twist and turn, proving that the journey is just as important as the destination. She had a passion for decorating and creating beautiful spaces.

Linda cherished her family above all. As a proud mother to Kathleen, and the world's coolest grandmother to Kennedy and Lilly, she filled their lives with wit, warmth, and a whole lot of laughter. Whether they were gathering at Cracker Barrel or simply sharing a moment at home, Linda's love was the brightest light in their lives.

In the words she loved, let us remember Linda as fabulous in life and in our hearts forever. Her legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire us.

Linda is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Taylor (Chris) and her granddaughters, Kennedy Leatherwood (Ty) and Lilly Greene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Howard Neal Robinson Sr. and Althalie Bailey Robinson

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 pm Friday, April 3, 2026, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
