Linda Gibby Railey

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Linda Gibby Railey, who left this world peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on May 26, 1927, in Andrews, NC, Linda lived a full life in the Dallas, NC area and will be remembered by all who knew her.

Linda was a talented sewer, dedicating many years of her life to the sewing plant industry. She was a member of Riverside House of Prayer, Mt. Holly. She also loved to shop, especially visiting Goodwill, and thrift shopping.

Linda is survived by her beloved nieces, Linda Grooms (Mike), Vera Cates (Tom), Glenda Spirlin, Gail Duncan (Ronnie), Rose Rose (Jerry), Joyce Gibby, and Lois Killman (Bobby); nephews, Danny Crunkleton (Wanda), Tim Crunkleton (Alice), Stanley Gibby, Larry Bragg (Peggy), and Floyd Gibby (Lois); and several great nieces and nephews, who cherished the time they spent together and will carry her memory forward.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison Gibby and Mollie Gibby; husband of over 27 years, Marion Railey; brothers, Charlie, Ralph, Boyd, and Herbert Gibby; sister, Hazel Crunkleton; and nieces, Doris Gibby, and Tina Becton.

We will gather to celebrate Linda's life, sharing stories and laughter, just as she would have wanted. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Larry Morrow, will be held 12pm, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

While we will miss her dearly, her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, Linda. You have touched our lives in ways words cannot express.
