Linda Faye Parker

Linda Faye Parker, 73, of Ranlo, passed away October 3, 2022, at her home.

She was born January 28, 1949, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Frances Drennan Garris.

Linda loved spending time with her loving family and all her friends. She enjoyed hiking in the mountains and taking long walks at the beach while looking for seashells. She was always ready to take a road trip with no particular destination in mind. She enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and softball.

She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Bessemer City.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Dennis Gomez.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Linda is survived by her children, Ernest Parker and wife Wendy, Teresa Ollis and husband Rusty, Scott Parker and fiancée Christy; special friend Cliff Thompson; grandchildren, Erica and Kenney Eaves, Eric Jr. and Patrisha Thompson, Justin and Autumn Parker, Allison and Aaron Brooks, Lauren and Ian Martin, Tad Parker, Levi Ollis, Savanna, Alex, Zach; great-grandchildren, Destiney, Aliyah, Kenney Eaves  III, Hailey Carpenter, Ashton , Landon and Hazel Thompson, Zaley, Berkley, and Maren Parker, Abott and Abel Brooks

In addition to her mother, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Parker Sr.; brother, Roger Drennan; sisters, Joyce Cotter and Brenda Radford.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
