Linda Gipson Owens

Linda Gipson Owens, 72, of Gastonia, NC, went home to see her Lord on May 12, 2024, at her home with her family.

She was born in Gaston County, NC on July 22, 1951, to the late Charlie T. and Rosie Modine Gipson.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Gipson, and sister, Judy Brown.

Linda was a member of Friendly Baptist Church in Gastonia.  She loved singing gospel songs with her dad for many years.  She enjoyed playing the piano for her church where her husband is the pastor.

Left to cherish Linda's memories are her husband of 54 years, Rev. Marshall Owens; daughter, Elizabeth Arrowood; grandson, Justin Hunter Arrowood Sr. and wife Raven; and great-grandson Justin Hunter Arrowood Jr.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2024, from noon until 2:00 pm at Friendly Baptist Church, 1422 N. Rhyne St., Gastonia, NC.

A service to celebrate Linda's life, officiated by Pastors Bobby Ammons and Ronnie Pressley, will follow the visitation at the church at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow the service at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
