Linda Mayes Marlow

Linda Mayes Marlow "MawMaw", 75, of Kings Mountain, passed peacefully Monday, January 1, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

She was born June 8, 1948, to the late Robert Mayes and Geneva Mayes Cloninger.

Linda worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager. She was excellent with numbers and was very intelligent. She was beautiful, witty and fun- loving.

Her hobbies included reading, crafting and power shopping. She loved to go to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Marlow; brother, Wade Mayes.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roxanne Marlow, Tracy and Ann Marlow; sister, Wanda Cooper; grandchildren, Nathan and Camron Marlow, Cody Burleson (MaddiKat), Brayden and Karlie Mayes, Andy Mayes (Chelsea), Nathan Perkins, Hannah Shelton (Spencer), Aaron Mason, Zacheriah Anderson, great-grandchildren, Wyatt Burleson, Ivy Rose Shelton; extended family, John Mayes, Nancy Bell, Cathy Randolph, Janice Gann (Gene), Gary McCord and Susan Holloway.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Greg Neely.

The family will receive friends noon-1pm prior to the service at the church.
