Linda Darlene Ledford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda "Darlene" Ledford, who left us on November 27, 2024, at the age of 51. Born on February 7, 1973, in Gaston County NC, Darlene was a beloved caregiver, known for her big heart and dedication to those she cared for. She made her home in Bessemer City, NC, where she poured her love into her family, animals, and her cherished community.

Darlene will be remembered for her warm spirit and her deep affection for her family. She loved spending time with her family, fiance, Randy Heavener; sisters, Rebecca Haney (James), Cynthia Buchanan, Debra Huss (Robbie); brother, Thomas Brooks (Renea); numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Julie Garrison. Her passion for life shone through in everything she did-whether it was attending services at Springwood Free Will Baptist Church or indulging in her favorite pastime of shopping at Walmart, which always brought her joy.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, George and Linda Epperson, as well as Calvin and Catherine Ledford; brothers, Richard Brooks and Jerry Brooks (Jennifer); niece, Dawn Brooks.

We invite all who knew and loved Darlene to join us for her memorial service, which will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 6:30 PM at Springwood Free Will Baptist Church, 826 Stanley Spencer Mountain Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28056.

Darlene touched the lives of many, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed.
