Linda Darlene Holland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Linda Darlene Holland on September 4, 2026, at the age of 78, a long time resident of Belmont, NC. She was born on June 14, 1948 to the late James and Thelma Hoyle.

She was a woman of steadfast faith who knew and loved her Lord and Savior personally. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was at the heart of who she was and guided her throughout her life. She found joy in His presence, strength in His promises, and peace in knowing that she would one day be with Him. She found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life-sitting in front of the fire, relaxing on her beloved back porch, and embracing the tranquility of the beach alongside her cherished beach family. A passionate reader, Darlene often lost herself in the pages of a good book. She thrived on welcoming everyone into her home and heart, embodying the spirit of hospitality that made her so beloved. Being a dedicated florist, spent countless hours creating beauty through her floral arrangements, spreading joy and love within her community and beyond.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Ralph Holland; sons, Todd (Lorri) Holland, Jamie Holland, Matt (Laura) Holland; grandchildren, Matt (Hannah) Starling, Kaylee (Kenny) Asmuth, Rachel Holland (fiance Seth), Maggie Holland, Leah (Howard) Wright, Ava (Zach) Morrow; great grandchildren, Maci and Finley Starling; siblings, Audrey (Ronnie) Huffstetler, Arlond Hoyle, Terry Lowe, Debbie Welch, Kim Killman, Angie (Eric) Ranklin, Kathy Grigg.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 6-8 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S York Rd Gastonia, NC 28052. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.
