Linda Burrell Crawford 1947-2024

Mrs. Linda Burrell Crawford, 77, of Kings Mountain, entered her heavenly home on October 31, 2024. She was born in Gastonia, NC on May 13, 1947 to the late Kelly Robert Burrell and Faye Bryson Burrell. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Linda held a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Linda was a member at Gastonia First Assembly of God, where she had attended since she was a child. Linda faithfully helped prepare communion for many years and loved being part of the Seniors group.

During her 30-year career with the Gaston County school system, she worked as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. She was recognized as a Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year. After retirement, Linda spent 20 years working for several different fragrance companies.

Linda was married to her loving husband Richard for 52 years. They both were members of the Mountaineer Cruisers Car Club and enjoyed weekly get-togethers at local restaurants with other members who shared their love for classic cars.

Most of all, Linda treasured her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She rarely ever missed a dance recital, ball game, theater performance, graduation, or any activity where she could display her love and support.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Neel Crawford; and sister, Brenda Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Angela Crawford Cunningham and husband Brian; son, Richard Brian Crawford and wife Miranda; grandchildren, Grace Cunningham, Trinity Cunningham, Gabriel Cunningham, Dalton Crawford, Jake Crawford, Connor Crawford, Raylynn Crawford, Loralee Crawford and Preston Davis; brother-in-law Cliff Wilson; sister-in-law Edie Crawford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Dennis Boyce will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at First Assembly of God - 777 S Myrtle School Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.
