Linda Jane Bleacher

Linda Jane Bleacher, 75, of Gastonia NC, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

Linda was born March 11, 1947, in Lancaster Co, PA, daughter of the late Oscar Barefoot and Evelyn Gertler Haines.

Linda was a true caregiver at heart. She worked as a CNA over 20 years. She was a mother to the children in the Rocky Springs community skating rink.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Krimmel; nieces, Christine Smith and Tammy Smith Zellers; stepfather, Harry Haines; stepmother, Ann Barefoot; sister-in-law, Marsha Mummaw; and brothers-in-law, Boots Murray, and Zep Glatfelter.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ben Bleacher, Jr.; son, Ben Bleacher, III; daughter, Tina Franks and husband, Marvin; grandchildren, Tiffany, JJ, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Lucas and Temperance; and many other extended family members.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Harold Hooper, will be held 6pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
