Linda Beck

Linda Beck, age 64, of Gastonia passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. A Gaston County native, she was born August 13, 1950, daughter of the late Albert James Walker and Annie Mae Horton Walker. Linda was a devoted wife, the greatest mother, loving grandmother, and joyous great-grandmother. She was a member of One Accord Independent Church in Gastonia where she sang on the praise team. Mrs. Beck is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Arthur Beck; her children and spouses, Shawn Beck and wife Tracy, Tammy Cochran and husband Clint, Tracy Hiland and husband Julius, and Shane Beck; grandchildren, Adam Cochran, Gregory Beck, Dustin Hiland, Hannah Hiland, Annsley Beck, and Jason Cochran; step-grandchildren, Josh Cochran, and Ashley Cochran; great-grandchild, Hunter Highland; brothers, Pastor Keith Walker, Terry Walker, and Jerry Walker; and sister, Sandra Coleman. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Wednesday at One Accord Independent Church. The family will receive friends at the church 1:30 - 3:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will be in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Accord Independent Church, 115 W Ridge St, Gastonia, NC 28052. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
