Lillian Thomasson Jarrard

Lillian Thomasson Jarrard, 79, of Clover passed away November 29, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born September 24, 1934 in Lumpkin County, GA daughter of the late David Newton and Lorene Moose Thomasson. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. Church Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052 officiated by Revs. Shane Reese and Larry Laws. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Mrs. Jarrard loved her family, was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Gastonia, and retired from NAPA after 27 years of service. She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Barta and husband Barry, Christy Hughes and husband Joseph; brother, David Thomasson and wife Sally; grandchildren, Wendy Grimes and husband Paul, Jason Moore; great grandchildren, Ashley and Logan Hughes, and Hailey Grimes. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by: her husband, Cecil Jarrard; daughter, Cathy Moore. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
