Lillian Collins Bailey

Gastonia, NC - Lillian Collins Bailey of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born November 20,1927, native of Gaston County daughter of the late Frank and Carrie Collins. Lillian attended Zion Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to cook. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Gaston Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Leo Kuykendall. She is survived by: daughter, Karen Armstrong and husband, Barney Bumgarner; brothers, Frank Collins and wife, Evelyn, Buddy Collins and wife, Patsy; sister, Dot Hand and husband, Howard; grandchildren, Rodney Armstrong and wife, Adrian, Joshua Bailey and great-grandchild, Drew Bailey Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Claude Walter Bailey; her son, Ronie Bailey; brothers, James and Carl Collins and sister, Joyce Brady. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
