Libby Welch

Libby Welch, 79, of Gastonia, NC, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Brian Center, Gastonia.

She was born October 28, 1941, in Swain Co, NC, daughter of the late John Percival Brogdon and Lola Estelle Winchester.

Libby was a member of Promise Baptist Church. She loved her family and the Lord. She also loved to craft and reading.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Welch; son, Billy Vickers; and brother, Bob Brogdon.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacia Benge and Danny, Becky Bolen, Sarah Cobb, and Joellen Bryson and Michael; stepchildren, Diana Sheriff and Chris Waldorf; brother, Charlie Brogdon and Shelby; sister, Brenda Martin; 11 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro, will be held 3pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
