Lib Lassiter

L ib Lassiter, 77, of Kings Mountain, passed away February 7, 2023, at her home.

She was born April 16, 1945, in Edgecombe County, NC, daughter of the late Eugene Whitaker Gray and Margaret Martin Gray.

She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Bessemer City.

Lib was a great mother who loved with all her heart. She loved all her family and friends. She was crazy over her great grandbabies. She was a fighter in every challenge of her life.

A funeral service will be held Noon Thursday, February 9, 2023, at New Life Baptist Church, 614 South 11 ^th Street Bessemer City, officiated by Dr. Dennis Gomez.

The family will receive friends 11-noon prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Lib is survived by son, Jerry Lassiter; daughters, Deborah Cape and husband Danny, Shelia Carr and husband Chris; grandbabies, Danelle Cape and husband Thomas Grigg, Brandy Lassiter, Ashley Carr, Cale Lassiter, Trey Carr; ten great grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, Lib was preceded in death by her husband, James "Willie" Lassiter; brother, Roll Gray; sisters, Ann Robinson, Hilda Pierce; grandbaby, Brittany Cape.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
