Lewis Eugene Owensby

Lewis Eugene Owensby, 82, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Lincoln Rehab in Lincolnton.

He was born August 21, 1940, in Gaston County to the late John and Sarah Owensby.

Lewis was a long-haul truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Patricia Pitts; 2nd wife, Cecilia Costner; daughter, Gena Owensby; special friend Kevin Price; ten siblings; great-grandchildren, Linsay and Jacob.

Lewis is survived by his son, Charles Owensby (Tina); daughters, Lois Tolley, Pam Carson (Randy), Melody Wellmon (Jesse), Kimberly Smeltzer; grandchildren, Chasity, Danielle, Jeremiah, Justin, Courtney, Tasha, Joe, Ashley, Brian, Gena, Brandon, Bryan, Christina; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hayden, Mia, Wyatt, Lainey, Savannah, Thomas, Madison, Emily, Naomi, Camryn, and Peyton.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Doug Clubb, will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. Visitation will be after the service.
