Lewis "Mark" Brown

Vale, NC –

Lewis "Mark" Brown, 48, of Vale, NC entered eternal life on July 30, 2016.

He was born July 22, 1968 to Betty M. Guffey and the late Lewis Ray Brown.  He grew up in Gaston County and graduated from Hunter Huss High School.  He retired from Bridgestone Firestone.

Mark loved his family and friends and will be missed greatly.  He enjoyed old cars, NASCAR racing and playing with his two grandsons.

He is survived by his mother; daughter Heather Whitworth (Brad); son Lewis Mark Brown II; brother Jeff Gibson (Glenda); grandchildren Daniel Lewis Brown and Bruce Layne Whitworth and nephew Cody Gibson.

A celebration of Mark's life, officiated by the Rev. Danny R. Shortridge will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 1 – 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
