Lewis Hoopaugh

Lewis Patton Hoopaugh, 72, of Gastonia, passed away April 8, 2016 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

A Gaston County native, he was born July 26, 1943, son of the late Ruby Anderson.

He was a US Airforce veteran.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Maydean Hoopaugh; son, John Hoopaugh and wife Tina of Gastonia; daughter, Amy McMahan and husband Daniel of Kings Mtn.; special family members, Paul and Jenny Gibson of Stanley; brother, Kenneth Hoopaugh of Franklin, Ga.; Rita Ricketts of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Carlos and Sandi McMahan.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dwayne Burks and Rev. Jeff Wilson, will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
