Lewis Vernon Cantrell

Lewis Vernon Cantrell, 90, of Gastonia, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Meadowwood Nursing Center in Gastonia.

He was born June 28, 1926, in Transylvania County, NC, son of the late Elijah Cantrell and Dora Cantrell.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Martha Johnson Cantrell; son, Gregory Cantrell and wife, Debbie; and his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm on Saturday, July 15, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment is private.
