Lester "Shorty" Cook Iii

Lester Lemoris "Shorty" Cook III, 40, of Clover, passed away July 1, 2016.

A Gaston County native and son of Lester Cook Jr. and the late Mary Ann Cook, he was born December 27, 1975.

Shorty was a kind, caring person who deeply loved his family and loved fishing.

He was very friendly and always had a smile.

Left to cherish his memories are his fiancée, Karissa Harvey; son, Lester L. Cook IV; daughter, Madison Cook; brother, Clayton Cook and wife Brandi; sisters, Joy Cook and fiancé Chris Lineberger, Leigh Rash and husband Josh; and grandmother, Sue Cook.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Troy Beaver, will be held 9 A.M. Wednesday, July 6 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
