Lera B. Bell, age 94, died at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC on Thursday, November 20, 2014 of natural causes. Born October 8, 1920 in Spur, Texas, she grew up full of joy and laughter with a love of dancing and singing. She lived in many different places - including Texas, Colorado, Idaho and California, before settling in North Carolina. Lera spent her days caring for her four children Linda, Kenneth Jr., Anna and Marian; grandchildren Deon, Erik, Brenda and Sean; great-grandchildren Wes, Kaylee and Logan as well as her husband Kenneth Sr. She was also mother of Jerry and Danny Doolin. She found much joy in gardening and she made growing roses look effortless. She also enjoyed camping, cats and birds. Lera will be remembered for her laughter and her strength to endure. Survivors include her children and was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother and husband. Memorial Service will be held at Brookdale Senior Living in Gastonia, NC.
