Leonard Jones

Leonard Franklin Jones, 58, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. A Gaston County native, he was born June 21, 1956, son of the late J.C. and Mary Davis Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his half-brother, Larry Jones and wife Ina of Gastonia; half-sisters, Diana Reep and husband James of Gastonia, Judy Scott and husband Acie of Columbia, SC, Carol Coleman and husband Junior of Gastonia; and many nieces and nephews that loved him. Leonard's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Gaston Residential Services and especially to the staff at the Franklin Home for the loving care they provided to Leonard. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Kitty Rankin will be 12 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia, with burial following at Armstrong Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Gaston Residential Services, 905-A N. New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
