Lennie Williams Proffitt

Lennie Williams Proffitt, 78, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away on June 13, 2021, at her home.

She was born December 5, 1942, in Cocke County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Garfield Williams and Eunice Sutton Williams.

Lennie was a member of Living Word Tabernacle in Kings Mountain.

She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them.

She loved to sew and enjoyed making quilts.

A gravesides service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Rd. Bessemer City, officiated by the Rev. Tim Humes and Brother Robert Falby.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

Lennie is survived by her sons, Dale Vernon Proffitt and wife, Dottie,  and Tommy Wade Proffitt Sr  and wife Tonie; grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Proffitt, Christopher  Joe Proffitt, T.J. Proffitt , Misty Lee Proffitt ; great-grandchildren, Landon Proffitt, Makayla Proffitt, Morgan Etters, Liam Proffitt, Damien Revels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Tennessee" Junior Proffitt.
