Leland Dewey "L.D." Bolynn

Leland Dewey "L.D." Bolynn, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away on March 19, 2018, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
He was born September 3, 1937, in Georgetown County, SC, son of the late Herman David Bolynn and Rosa Roe Bolynn.
Mr. Bolynn was a deacon in the Pentecostal Church for 50 years, and he served as a Sunday School teacher, Superintendent and Choir Director.
He had worked at Parkdale Mills as a Card Technician for 46 years. He also was a self-employed Carpenter and Cabinet Maker.
A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastors Ray Goodson and Timmy Whitaker.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
Left to cherish the memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Joann Lunsford Bolynn; daughter, Pamela B. Holland and husband, Ron; son, Paul Bolynn and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Kenneth Frisbee and wife, Alice, Holly Frisbee-Medearis and husband, Wil, Patrick Bolynn and wife, Haley, Shelley Holland; great-grandchildren, Jada Frisbee, Helmi Davis; brothers, Lattie Bolynn, Lester Bolynn, Donnie Bolynn; sister, Jeanette Oliver.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by twin brother, William David "W.D." Bolynn, brothers, Harvey D. Bolynn, Nelson O. Bolynn; sisters, Liller B. Glaze, Louise B. Spencer, Linda J. Bolynn; son, John R. Justice.
