Lee Pennington

Lee Pennington, 56, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A native of Gaston County, Lee was born on November 22, 1964, to the late Robert Reid Pennington and Betty Adams Pennington Medley.

Lee was a devoted husband and father. He loved life and always had a smile on his face. Lee was always willing to help his family and friends. He was known as "Mr. Fix It" by many.

Lee loved vacationing every year with his family. He enjoyed boating, skydiving, fishing with his son Jeremy, biking, swimming, and snowmobiling. Lee especially loved going to Carowinds and Scarowinds. He was great on the grill and known as the "Grill Master" by his family.

Lee was always the life of the party. He could be quite the prankster, even though he had his quiet side.

He had an incredible work ethic and commitment, Lee worked at AB Carter for 36 years.

Left to cherish Mr. Pennington's memories are his loving wife of over 18 years, Kristine Pennington; son, Jeremy Pennington; sister, Renee Pennington Jones; in-laws, Dan and Christine Sevener; sister-in-laws, Kelly (Mark) Sirois and Kathryn (Jesse) Davis; 7 nieces; 2 nephews; and several other close family and friends.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Vernon Greene, will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly – 5766 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710.

The family will receive friends at the church after the service on Thursday.

The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the family.
