Leavon Mcgugan Gibson

Leavon McGugan Gibson, 73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born February 7, 1948, in Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late English McGugan and Mary Payne McGugan.

Leavon loved to travel.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Wayne Gibson, of 55 years; son, Gary "Rick" Richard Gibson; daughter, Tammy Cheville Heafner; brother, Harold McGugan; sisters, Jerri Mason, Evelyn Franks, and Van Davenport; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Scott Lee, will be held 2pm on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Gaston Memorial Park - 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
