Lawson Penner

Lawson Penner, 76, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on July 13, 2024. He was born on January 16, 1948, in Gaston County, North Carolina.

Lawson was a down-to-earth man who found joy in the simple things in life. He was an US army veteran. He loved spending his days fishing, watching classic western shows like Bonanza and Gun Smoke, and most of all, he cherished his family, including his daughter, Tiffany Ballard (Randall); sons, Matthew Penner and Dwayne Penner; grandchildren, Corey Penner, Courtney Collins, Kendra Ballard, and Ryleigh Ballard; great granddaughter, London Penner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A man of few words but abundant love for his family and grandchildren, Lawson will always be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

A Funeral Service in memory of Lawson will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on July 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at 1:00 PM on the same day at the South Chapel.

Lawson was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Beatrice Penner; sisters, Joyce Ann Wright and Nancy Eaves.
