Lawrence Bernasconi, 89, of Gastonia, passed away August 27, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.
He was born July 3, 1929 in Bronx, New York the son of the late Lawrence Henry Bernasconi and Philomena Russelli Bernasconi.
Lawrence attended Ridge Baptist Church of Gastonia. He attended Iona State College. He was a United States Marine and Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. Lawrence was also a long-term member of the Gaston RC Club.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Bernasconi; sons, Stephen Bernasconi and Lawrence Christopher Bernasconi; daughter, Lisa Huffman; sister, Anne Marchesi; grandson, Preston Alan Huffman and special friend, John Morauski.
A funeral service will be held 11 am on Thursday, August 30th at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia with Pastor Chester Waters to officiate the service.
The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
