Laura Jean Wright

Laura Jean Wright, 67, of Gastonia, passed away May 30, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

She was born February 11, 1949, the daughter of the late Arthur Reeves and Evelyn Anderson Reeves.

Laura, a native of Gaston County loved her family, flower garden and going to the beach. She was a four time cancer survivor. Laura retired from Danaher Corporation with 34 years of service.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 45 years Glenn Wright; son Wayne Wright and wife Heather; daughter Nicole Alm and husband Jody; sister Ann Ellis; grandchildren Garrett Wright, Gracie Wright Wesley Alm and Daniel Alm.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Gragg.

A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Warner Doles and the Rev. Charles Keller will be held 3 pm Friday at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church, 3025 Fraley Church Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens.
