Laura Lane Walls

Laura Lane Walls, 90, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center.

She was born September 10, 1926, in Graham County, daughter of the late William "Dutch" Lane and Ethel Millsaps Lane.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Walls; son, Robert Walls; sister, Elra Ledford; and brothers, Charles Lane and Herold Lane.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Dwayne Walls and wife, Donna; daughters, Doris W. Jenkins, Wanda W. Ledford and husband, Keith; brother, Hugh Lane; sisters, Hildred Wiggins, Naomi Birchfeild, Ondra Walker; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Jody Freeman, will be held 2pm on Tuesday at Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
