Laura Holland

Laura Elizabeth Bell Holland, 75, of Gastonia, passed away May 17, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born May 20, 1936 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Will W. and Julia Gill Bell. Mrs. Holland was a member of Cramerton United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Holbrook High School where she was a member of their Championship Women's Basketball Team. A graveside and interment service will be 2:30 pm on Sunday at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Bud Bell. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia. She is survived by: her sons, Clarence "Burlon" Holland Jr. and wife, Teresa, Ronald Holland and girlfriend, Denise Hoyle; brothers, Don Bell and wife, Nancy, Bud Bell and wife, Mary Grace; grandchildren, Justin and Briana. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence "Curly" Holland Sr.; sisters, Kathleen Jackson, Dot Hewitt and Hattie Auten .
