Laura Collmar

Laura Collmar, a beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away on August 29, 2024, from natural causes at the age of 81. Lovingly known as the 'Avon lady,' Laura was a member of the One Accord Independent Church in Gastonia. She was born on July 27, 1943, to be survived by her children: Howard Collmar (Erica), Linda Stalnaker (Roger), Cindy Swayney (Troy), Donald Collmar (Dorothy), Susanna Lybrook (Michael), and Walter Collmar (Rose), and the late daughter, Treva Breedlove and her husband Dennis; brother, Ralph Farmer; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Laura took pleasure in crocheting, solving puzzles, and testing her luck at the claw machines. She also loved camping and her annual family reunion in Virginia. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many around her.

A Funeral Service to honor Laura's life will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at One Accord Independent Church at 3:00 pm. Following this service, a funeral will also be held in Barberton, OH and she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mildred Heaton; son, Raymond Heaton; siblings, Fred Heaton and Jim Farmer.
