Larry Wilson

Larry Eugene Wilson ,73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Wednesday, December 16,2020, at Peak Resources, Gastonia.

He was born April 15, 1947, son of the late Ernest Eugene Wilson and Hazel Abernathy Wilson.

Larry enjoyed country music, playing the guitar and spending time with his friends and the staff of Heritage Oaks.

He also retired from Bridgestone Firestone company.

Larry was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Kenneth Rumney.

Larry is survived by his brother Steven L. and wife Connie; sister, Glenda Rumney; nephews and nieces Mark Dockery (Crystal), Chad Rumney (Misty), Tiffany Beaver (John), Stacy Henderson (Jon), and Greg Wilson (Christal); and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Wilson will lie in state Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

A graveside service will also be held on Monday at 2:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Edward Hawkins officiating.
