Larry "Toby" Thomas, 61, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.
A Gaston County native, he was born July 12, 1955, son of the late Larry and Peggy Thomas.
Toby was a wonderful father and brother who will be greatly missed.
He was formerly employed with Carolina Mills, was an avid swimmer, loved the outdoors, and loved to fish.
He had a fun-loving personality.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Thomas Christopher and husband Richard of Bessemer City; brother, Billy Jack Thomas of Gastonia; sisters, Jeannie Lamb of Gastonia and fiancé Odell May; Stonie Messer and husband Wayne of Gastonia; grandchildren, Jace, Maddox, Cayden, Logan, Clarissa, and Ansley.
A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Richard Christopher, will be held 3 pm Monday, June 5, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
