Larry James Spirlin

Larry James Spirlin, 72, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his residence.

A Gaston County native, he was born May 26, 1949, son of the late James and Jannie Spirlin.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Spirlin Usik.

He was a US Army veteran.

Left to cherish his memory include the love of his life for over 33 years, Linda Spirlin;  his children, Joel James Spirlin of L.A., California, Holly Spirlin & Nate of Mooresville, NC (2 grandchildren), Elizabeth Spirlin Lineman & Jimmy Lineman of Dallas, NC (2 grandchildren), Larry James Spirlin Jr. (affectionately Bo) of Gastonia, NC (2 grandchildren), Jonathan Howard & Janelle Howard of Charlotte, NC (4 grandchildren); bonus children of our blended family, Dixie Galloway & Rodger of Kings Mountain, NC (2 grandchildren), Dwight Dean & Susan Dean of Six Mile, SC (3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild), Joshua Galloway & Tina Galloway of Effingham SC (4 grandchildren); brother Danny Spirlin.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
