Larry Pressley

Larry Lewis Pressley, 76, of Gastonia, passed away July 31, 2012, at his home. He was born February 24, 1936 in Gaston County, son of the late Frank Pressley and Thelma Hoffman Smith. Mr. Pressley was a US Marine Korean War Veteran, avid fisherman and a member of the Wildlife Club. A memorial service will be held 5 pm on Saturday at Maranatha Baptist Church, Dallas, NC, officiated by Pastor Chris Doster. The family will receive friends 4-5 pm on Saturday prior to the service at the church. Interment is private. He is survived by: his son and daughter in-law, Joseph and Regina Pressley; daughters and sons in-law, Debbie Haynie, Kim and Sonny Haynie, Susan White, June and Wayne Butler; brothers, Eddie Pressley, Clyde Lee Pressley; grandchildren, Craig, Stevie, Chris, Amber, Stephanie, Jamie, Sabrina, Sam, Katie, Matt Kimberly and Brittany; numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his wife, Pinkie Dean Pressley. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Fuenral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
