Larry Van Ledford

Larry Van Ledford, 83, of Clover, SC, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Morningside Assisted Living, Gastonia, NC.

Larry was born October 17, 1940, to the late Joseph Elmer and Alice King Ledford.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Vickie Braswell Ledford; sister, Sandra Abee; brothers, James Ledford, Joseph Ledford, Gwndell Ledford, and Glenn Ledford; and granddaughter, Laurie Moss.

Larry is survived by his children, Charlie Ledford, Donald Ledford, Jimmy Moss, Angie Moss Dixon (Dean), and Steven Moss (Patty).  In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Keith Ledford, Lebo Ledford, Kristin Watkins, Hunter Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Nathan Moss (Amanda), and Corbin Moss (Emily); his great granddaughters, Graylin Moss and Pressley Moss; and his loving sisters, Cathy Davis (Larry) and Dorcas Harris.

Larry was retired from The City of Gastonia, NC where he established many lasting friendships.  Larry had a life-long love for cars and motorcycles and enjoyed showing off his collection anytime he had the opportunity.  When Larry wasn't tinkering with his cars, you could probably find him in his easy chair watching a good ole Western.

The family would like to extend our appreciation to all the staff at Morningside Assisted Living in Gastonia for their love and care of Larry over the last year, as well as Gaston Hospice for their support over the last few weeks.

A private service to honor Larry's life will be held by the family at a later date.
