Larry Wayne Church

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Church, who left this world on February 23, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on September 6, 1962, in Iredell County, North Carolina, Larry lived a vibrant life that touched many. He made his home in Stanley, NC, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Larry was a true family man, survived by his beloved spouse, Carol Church; brother, Edward Church (Judy); nieces, Stephanie Harrison and Wendy Church; nephews, Brad Christopher and Randy Church.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Rebecca Church; sister, Sherry Chastain; brother, Jim Church.

He worked as a tableman at CommScope, dedicating 20 plus years to his craft. Those who knew him will remember his jovial spirit and his unwavering support for the Buffalo Bills - whether they won or lost, Larry was a loyal fan through and through.

He had a knack for putting model cars together, each creation reflecting his attention to detail and creativity. Larry also took great pride in caring for his chickens, Pearl and Egghead, who brought a little bit of farm charm to his everyday life. Larry's love for the outdoors was evident in his frequent getaways to Gatlinburg, where he cherished the time spent in the mountains, breathing in the fresh air and soaking up nature's beauty.

Private services will be held, honoring the life and memories of Larry.

The family encourages you to share a fond memory of Larry that brings a smile to your face and celebrate the wonderful person he was. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
