Larry "Ray" Bridges

Larry "Ray" Bridges, Jr., 27, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 8, 1986 in Portsmouth, VA, son of Larry Ray Bridges, Sr. and Robin Renee' Setzer. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel with the Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 pm Friday and from 1 - 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Ray is survived by his father, Larry Ray Bridges, Sr. and step-mother, Christine; mother, Robin Setzer and step-father, Mike; childhood girlfriend, Amy Viars; niece, Daisy Rae-Lynn Shelton; nephew, Jaxon Shane Wilson; maternal grandmother, Annie Norman; paternal grandfather, Larry J. Bridges and wife, Ann; aunts, Christy Barnette, Terri Moore, Tracy Dickinson, Sherry Sellers; sisters, Heather Bridges Shelton, Jacinda Bridges; step-grandmothers, Teresa Hughes, Gloria Crane and Ruby Setzer. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joe Hughes and best friend, Shane Graham. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
