Junior Shubert (Lanny Shubert, Jr.) went home to be with the Lord, August 1, 2018, with his loving family by his side, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC.
He was born December 19, 1969 in Gastonia, the beloved son of Lanny and Carolyn Shubert.
Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, is his devoted sister, Emily Hudson and her husband Brad, two special nephews, whom he loved and supported as his own, Petty Officer Aaron Bradshaw, USCG, and Ian Hudson, two special cousins that were more like sisters, Vickie Cook and Dawn Lackey, and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, wonderful co-workers and many, many amazing friends. Junior was the grandson of the late Robert and Bertha Shubert and Richard and Verna Workman Roseberry.
He graduated from Hunter Huss High School and was employed as a Team Manager at Advanced Auto Distribution Center. Junior had a unique sense of humor and was loved by so many people. He loved motorcycles, softball, golf, teasing his family and friends, and fun trips with his wonderful friends. He loved his family and loved his parents dearly. He loved his many, many friends. He loved our Lord.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, 530 Bethany Road, Gastonia NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the church, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tim Robbins.
Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Gaston Hospice, The Robin Johnson House, in Dallas for their excellent care, their patience and understanding during the past week.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, Faith Fund.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
