Lanny Lee Jenkins

Lanny Lee Jenkins, 67, of Charlotte, passed away June 21, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was born June 25, 1947 the son of Ruby Hartness Jenkins and the late Lee Claude Jenkins, Jr. He was a veteran of the US Army who served during Vietnam. Lanny was a loving husband and father. Left to cherish his memories along with his mother are his wife, Lynda Jenkins; sons, Ronnie Jenkins and wife, Beth and Jason Jenkins; daughter, Angel Byrd and husband, Tony; brothers, Dwain Jenkins and wife, Olivia and Dean Jenkins and wife, Sue; sisters, Lola Marucci and husband, Sam and Vangie Wiggins and husband, Butch and grandchildren, Dustin, Logan, Kensley, Shelby and Ella. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The receiving of friends and family will be 6 - 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
