On February 12, 2024, Kristen Michelle Clark of Hickory, NC passed away unexpectedly.
She was born on January 18, 1983, in Hickory NC.
Kristen loved playing basketball and volleyball and was involved with travel and high school volleyball. Shortly after receiving her GED, she became a Phlebotomist for Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte and later worked at Frye Regional Medical Center. For most of her life Kristen battled with addiction, but she should be remembered for who she was. Kristen was known for her athleticism on the volleyball court, and she would often take in stray animals and nurture them back to health. Those who knew her well described her as kind, and always willing to help others.
Kristen is survived by her mother and father, William and Michelle (Wheeler) Clark, her sister Katelyn (Clark) Nash and husband David Nash, and four biological children, Alexis, Samuel, Brianna, and Julyssa.
Kristen grew up in the church and knew well the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Prior to her death Kristen became involved with the Friday Night Lights Ministry with Grace Baptist Church in Gastonia; where she voiced a desire to rededicate her life to Jesus Christ and her family finds great hope that even now, she is with her King. Her family would like to thank Grace Baptist Church; specifically, for their Friday Night Light Ministries who serves those struggling with addiction and those impacted by this struggle.
Receiving of friends and family will be held on Sunday March 3, 2024, from 1:30-2:00pm with a memorial service following directly after at Western Avenue Baptist Church, Statesville NC.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Grace Baptist Church (Gastonia NC) Friday Night Light Ministries.
