Klaire Marie Benge

Klaire Marie Benge, 7, of Ranlo, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at her residence.

She was born January 15, 2011, in Gaston County, daughter of Danny Eugene Benge, Jr. and Natosha Dixon.

Klaire was a first grader at Brookside Elementary in Ranlo and attended Maylo United Methodist Church.  She was a strong and brave girl who fought hard against her cancer.  She was greatly loved and will be missed by all that knew her.  The Benge family would like to give special thanks to her teacher Shelley Thornton and the Ranlo Police Department for their concern and care of our Klaire bear.  They were so great for sharing this journey with the family.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Stollar.

Klaire is survived by her father and mother; sister, Alice Benge; grandparents, Danny and Stacia Benge, Sr., Sheila Dixon; great-grandparents, Elizabeth Welch, Barbara and Bob Stern, Frances Stollar and Liz Springer; uncles, Jesse Benge and Mark Mull, Jr.; aunts, Joanna Benge and Mary Silva; many other aunts and uncles.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jay Bissett, will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, at Maylo United Methodist Church, 1900 Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC, 28054.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
