Kirk Nelson Jamerson

Kirk Nelson Jamerson, age 62, of Gastonia, passed peacefully in the early morning of July 29th in his home.

Kirk was the youngest of Lewis and Nelly Jameron's four children (Sandy, Jamie, Karen, and Kirk). As a young man, Kirk was a member of the United States Airforce. Kirk then began working as a contractor and custom tiler in Richmond, Virginia, before relocating to Gastonia, North Carolina, his home of the past 25 years. Kirk is remembered as a master artisan, a lively and carefree spirit, and a beloved friend.

Kirk is preceded in death by his mother Nelly Jamerson, his sister Sandy Atkinson, and his brother Jamie Jamerson. Kirk is survived by his father Lewis Jamerson Sr., his sister Karen Gwinn (Bruce), his daughter Brooke Sneed (Devin), grandchildren Bentley and Harper, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

Always ready to treat friends like family and family like friends, Kirk leaves behind a treasure trove of "Kirk stories" to keep those who knew him smiling and laughing for years to come. Each story represents the love that Kirk was always ready to show those around him in addition to a sense of humor that never knew when to quit. He will surely not be forgotten.
