Kirby Ray Hoffman

Kirby Ray Hoffman, 82, of Bessemer City passed away May 20, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born June 11, 1934, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late, Clyde V. Hoffman and Pearl Inez Raby.

Kirby was a faithful member of North Gaston Church of God and the teamsters Union.  He was also a veteran of the United States Airforce.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Betty Hoffman; sons, Bryan Keith Hoffman, of Metter, GA, Daniel Lee Hoffman of Bessemer City and Stephen Michael Hoffman of Oregon; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Hoffman and sister, Becky Hoffman.

A funeral service, officiated by the Revs. Ted Smith and Andy Nicholson will be held 2 pm Tuesday at North Gaston Church of God, 1310 Cherryville Hwy., Dallas,

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial with full military honors by the United States Airforce, will be in Westview Gardens.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
